Vintage Corning Ware (the white Pyroceram casseroles with blue cornflowers and other printed patterns) is everywhere at thrift stores and estate sales, and a lot of people wonder if theirs is worth anything. The honest answer: most common pieces sell for modest sums, while a few scarcer patterns, sizes and complete sets do better. Value comes down to pattern, piece, lid, and condition.

What real sales show

Here's a real example, priced from eBay sold listings:

  • Corning Ware Blue Cornflower 2-quart casserole (A-2-B) with glass lid: sold for $18 to $25, median about $20 across four recent sales (checked October 2026). See the price check.

That's typical for the most common pattern: a useful, sellable piece, but not a windfall. Prices change, so check sold listings for your exact piece before you price it.

What drives value

Pattern. Blue Cornflower is the most common and the least valuable per piece. Less common patterns and short-run designs can bring more. Piece and size. Unusual sizes and shapes, and pieces with their original matching lids, are worth more than a lone dish. Condition. Chips, deep scratches, stains and faded patterns lower the price; clean, bright pieces sell best. Sets. A matched group often sells for more than the pieces one at a time.

How to price yours

Find the model number on the bottom (for example A-2-B), match the pattern, and look up what that exact piece actually sold for, not what sellers are asking. Asking prices are often far higher than what anything sells for.

Frequently asked questions

What Corning Ware is worth the most?

Scarcer patterns, unusual pieces and complete matched sets in clean condition. Common Blue Cornflower casseroles usually sell for about $15 to $30 each.

Does it matter if the lid is missing?

Yes. An original matching lid adds noticeably to the price, and many buyers want complete pieces.
